Dental Impressions

Elevating Your Experience Through Digital Orthodontics

With an intraoral digital scanner, patients no longer have to endure the discomfort, mess and remakes associated with traditional impressions. This modern alternative not only avoids the discomfort of impressions, it also provides patients with the peace of mind that comes with advanced technology. By seeing detailed images right on the screen, patients are better engaged in the process and can comprehend a 3D digital view of their oral anatomy. Further, the ability to review and discuss images in real-time with the doctor allows for a much more interactive patient/doctor relationship.3M True Definition Scanner Marketing Kit - Patient and Dentist 2 New.tif

The intraoral digital scanner employs 3D-in-motion video technology that features extraordinary detail with industry leading accuracy — providing the most accurate, precise impressions and allowing for more control and consistency than traditional processes. This means our patients get precisely fitting appliances made from highly accurate scans.

What to Expect

Step 1: A Hiller Orthodontic clinician simply moves the scanner around your mouth, capturing video of all sides of the teeth and gums.

Step 2: You can watch the 3D model of your teeth appear on the monitor in real time. When the scan is complete, you and Dr. Hiller can review, zoom in or out, and rotate the image to get a true picture of your oral anatomy, so you can ask questions and better understand what’s being done.

Step 3: Dr. Hiller will use the 3D image of your teeth to determine the best treatment options for you and how he will get you to your final result.

Step 4: Should you choose a customized appliance, like customized lingual braces or aligners, Dr. Hiller will send this digital impression to a lab who will make your appliance.
