Meet Dr. Dennis Hiller

dennis_hiller“I absolutely love my career. Improving a person’s confidence and self-esteem and being appreciated for doing so is a daily occurrence in my life. I continue to receive wedding photos and graduation pictures, with thank-you notes attached, years after patients have completed treatment. That’s making an impact!”

- Dr. Dennis Hiller

In 1983, Dr. Hiller began his first private practices in Conway and Berlin, New Hampshire.  Even after 25+ years and five new practices, Dr. Hiller is still passionate about his work as an orthodontist. Known for his wonderful sense of humor and warm personality, it is obvious he enjoys working with his staff and patients.  He is also well known for his involvement in the communities and schools he serves.

Education

Dennis Hiller was born and reared in Nanticoke, a small town in northeastern Pennsylvania.  He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology; Temple University School of Dentistry where he earned both a Doctor of Dental Surgery (1981) and a Master’s of Science in Dentistry and Certificate of Specialization in Orthodontics (1983)

Continuing Education

By participating in more than double the required hours, Dr. Hiller is able to stay abreast of all the developments and provide the most advanced care possible. His memberships make it possible for him to continue his education and grow in his knowledge and skill as an orthodontist. Dr. Hiller is a frequent lecturer to local dentists and hygienists also.

When he is away from the practice…

Dr. Hiller enjoys golfing, viticulture, hiking and boating.  He and his wife of 30 plus years, Pat, have four children, Bryan, Matthew, Kate and Allison and two adorable grandsons, Brayden and Tanner (thousands of pictures available!). A Northern New Hampshire resident by choice, Dr. Hiller has been an involved community member serving on many boards and committees.

Dr. Hiller is currently a member of the North Country Investment Council and the Ham Foundation Advisory Board. Dr. Hiller is also on the Our Lady of the Mountains Pastoral Council and was a founder of the Mount Washington Valley, Chapter of Dollars for Scholars. During his time with Dollars for Schollars, Dr. Hiller has served in varying capacities including President. He currently hosts a television game show called ScholarBowl on local cable station, Valley Vision Channel 3. ScholarBowl is the flagship fundraiser for Dollars for Scholars.

To add further context and history, Hiller Orthodontics' long standing (Est. 1997) SmileMaker Scholarship was the very first endowment for Dollars for Scholars and this scholarship has become a legacy project that illustrates Dr. Hiller's commitment to young people in their pursuits for academic excellence.
